Today Jojo draws the Hotdog Princess giving relationship advice! (the sizes of the images don’t play well on Tumblr, so click on them! Also sorry I’m bad at Tumblr!)
Yesterday’s drawing of X-Force’s Stryfe answering relationship questions went so well that we’re doing it for at least one more day! Today we get Hotdog Princess from Adventure Time responding to a query about workplace romance (although I don’t know what a princess would know about a workplace).
Jojo’s drawing is pretty accurate. She made her all dog, instead of part hotdog (giving her a dog tail instead of a hotdog… scrunchie thing). She also gave her a skirt she doesn’t have.
The advice is sound too! We got some really good questions paired with comic book characters to answer them, so we’ll probably do one or two more. So keep em coming!

Today Jojo draws Stryfe giving relationship advice! (Make sure to click on the photos, Tumblr is formatting them weird.)
We interrupt Adventure Time week to bring you this amazing thing! After Jojo drew me and we accidentally revealed that I’m a dude, we got this question. I love to think that this guy was like, “Well, I really sincerely want to talk about the possibility of friendship between men and women… but while I’ve got you, I’d also like to see Rob Liefeld’s classic comic book villain.”
Jojo’s drawing of Stryfe is in the ball park. She got his shoulder things and she knew he had head spikes. I think she did mean to give him a cape, we just can’t see it. She gave him blue skin mostly because her white-person-skin-color pencil is almost worn down. The only real problem with this drawing of Stryfe is that she kept calling him Stripes.
Her answer to the question is also accurate. From now on we will only accept hero requests if they are accompanied by a relationship question. Seriously, send us more questions and a character you’d like to see answer it and we’ll see if we can make this a thing!
EDIT: Also… yes, platonic is the word Stryfe meant to use. He’s from the future. Cut him some slack.
That’s a pretty good theory but you’re wrong about one thing
I’m scanning Jojo’s first Adventure Time drawing RIGHT NOW!
FINAL final plot twist!
Oh no, that’s way better! Look, it’s okay, we can salvage this. The reveal that I’m a guy named Marly can work into this scenario:
Jojo’s mind, fracturing under the pressure of her secret love of superheroes has created an entirely separate personality to house it. Unable to acknowledge this part of herself, she’s made it as different from her as she can. Instead of a lady artist, her new personality is a writer dude. But her psyche is fighting back, trying to repair itself, to make the split known. So she named this “writer” Marly as a clear indicator that he’s not real.
Because seriously, Marly?
How’s that? are we okay again?
Ha sorry to disappoint(?) you.
I have referenced being a guy once or twice (I think most explicitly when writing about Tuxedo Mask). When we first started this, I didn’t mention my name mostly because I didn’t think to. After a few weeks Jojo said, “Maybe you should put your name on there, all my friends and family assume you’re a girl.”
Problem is, my name’s Marly. It does nothing to convince people otherwise.
She has indeed drawn the Avengers.
Back before she saw the movie I’d asked her to do draw everyone who I knew would be in it.
She pretty much knew Iron Man.
Her Thor was fairly accurate, as was her Frog Thor and Horse Thor.
She thought Black widow looked like Carmen Sandiego.
She’d never heard of Nick Fury so she just smushed together Sam Jackson movies.
Hawkeye got his trick arrows replaced with an actual hawk, from his eye.
She drew Hulk with an adorable kitty, which gave me the idea for these comics.
And the first drawing she ever did was of Captain America. Before the movie she didn’t even remember he had a shield. After the movie she only remembers his butt.
