I'm a writer. I read a lot of comics. My friend Jojo is an artist. She doesn't read any comics.

At lunch, she draws super heroes from memory. Her memory is not always very good.

As you look at these drawings, I can not stress enough that Jojo is a professional artist, and a full grown woman. It's important to remember that.

Today Jojo draws Nite Owl! Watchmen week continues. We’re actaully in an interesting position because Jojo has actaully read part of Watchmen. Only part of it, but that’s still more familiarity than she’s had with the other super heroes we’ve featured. This Nite Owl drawing is in the wheelhouse. She forgot his Batman-style utility belt, and his head shape is a little off. Plus, she did his cape more like the movie than the comic, which is funny since she’s never seen the movie. She used the right colors but, as always, didn’t use them right. But let’s not criticize the flaws, let’s praise the strengths. It’s awesome how fat she made him. I mean, he’s supposed to be pretty fat but Jojo really outdid herself. Stay with us as we continue Watchmen week, and run our own doomsday clock. A doomsday clock that’s not counting down till atomic war, but rather counting down till blue dong.
