I'm a writer. I read a lot of comics. My friend Jojo is an artist. She doesn't read any comics.

At lunch, she draws super heroes from memory. Her memory is not always very good.

As you look at these drawings, I can not stress enough that Jojo is a professional artist, and a full grown woman. It's important to remember that.

Happy Presidents Day! It’s Presidents Day here in the ol’ USA, but this week I wanted Jojo to draw super villains from memory. Rather than get into a hilarious debate about which US president was most like a super villain (Millard Filmore) I asked Jojo to combine themes and draw Green Goblin, about to assassinate President Lincoln. Jojo had to draw Green Goblin for work recently so I knew she knew what he looked like, and this drawing is pretty much 100% correct. Jojo does seem to think that Green Goblin is much smaller than he is, which makes sense. I suppose that out of context, he looks like he should be a scrabbly little guy. She also drew Lincoln’s hat much larger than normal, so maybe it’s all artistic license.  All I know is Lincoln looks very bored of the play he’s watching, and will probably welcome the pumpkin bomb to the head.
