I'm a writer. I read a lot of comics. My friend Jojo is an artist. She doesn't read any comics.

At lunch, she draws super heroes from memory. Her memory is not always very good.

As you look at these drawings, I can not stress enough that Jojo is a professional artist, and a full grown woman. It's important to remember that.

Today Jojo draws Galactus (sort of). As we continue our week of Jojo drawing villains, we finally get to one of our earliest requests, Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds. There’s probably no other single character that has been requested more (the most requests lately have been for the ThunderCats). I’ve been hesitant to ask her to draw Galactus because I knew she’d never seen him. However, while doing this blog she had picked up some pieces of information. She knew he wore purple and blue, had a funny helmet, and that he ate worlds. What she drew almost looks like a giant Kang the Conqueror, but not quite. Galactus really looks nothing like this, although I love his giant mouth, unhinging to fit that planet down his gullet. Also, I’ve mentioned before that Jojo gets sad when she doesn’t color a purple character correctly (because she loves purple). This time she did use purple but not nearly enough. Sorry again, Jojo.
