I'm a writer. I read a lot of comics. My friend Jojo is an artist. She doesn't read any comics.

At lunch, she draws super heroes from memory. Her memory is not always very good.

As you look at these drawings, I can not stress enough that Jojo is a professional artist, and a full grown woman. It's important to remember that.

Today Jojo draws Finn and Jake. We’ve gotten a lot of requests for these two so I figured it made sense to put them together. Jojo knows these characters really well and her own style is pretty close to Adventure Time, so I expected these to be accurate. There’s a few things off. Jake’s eyes should be white with black around them, not the other way around, and Finn’s hat ears are meant to sit on his head differently. Finn should also be missing some teeth. What I think is funny about this is Jake looks happy and Finn looks like a lifeless puppet that doesn’t know what’s expected of it. It’s like it’s saying, “Here I am… Finn from Adventure Time… Is this what you wanted?”
