I'm a writer. I read a lot of comics. My friend Jojo is an artist. She doesn't read any comics.

At lunch, she draws super heroes from memory. Her memory is not always very good.

As you look at these drawings, I can not stress enough that Jojo is a professional artist, and a full grown woman. It's important to remember that.

We’ve gotten a lot of requests for Booster Gold.
A lot.
I asked Jojo if she’d ever even heard of Booster Gold and she said, “Nope.” But she thought she had a good handle on the character and it’s important to give the public what they want.
Let’s start with what she got right. She knew that Booster used to be a football player so it’s understandable that she thought he still wore the helmet. She got a lot of the colors right (yellow and blue) and she knew he had a star on his costume (although it’s supposed to be on his chest, not his head). Finally, like all male super heroes, Booster does have well defined abs, so one point to Jojo for that.
She got some things wrong though. As I said, Booster wears goggles, not a helmet, and he doesn’t wear a cape. He doesn’t have the words “Booster Gold” written on him, but given his knack for self marketing, it’s not too far off. Oh, also Booster Gold is supposed to be a human and not a can of beer. That’s kinda important.
