Today Jojo draws Jubilee… kind of… by accident!

So today at lunch, Jojo said she’d seen a character on our Tumblr dash that she really want to draw. She liked her baggy gloves and boots. She didn’t remember who the character was.

I told her go ahead, and I’d see if I could tell who it was supposed to be. So Jojo drew this… and I had no clue. Ms. Marvel? Wrong colors and her boots/gloves aren’t baggy. Rogue? Can’t be, Jojo knows Rogue. Jojo thought it might be Jubilee… but she’s never wrong a costume like that. I was stumped.

Then Jojo found it on Tumblr. She was thinking of this drawing.

Near as I can tell, it’s a drawing of Jubilee, wearing Rogue’s 80s costume, which is too big on her, and the faded colors make it look yellow instead of green.

Great find Jojo, great find.

Today Jojo draws Spider-Girl (I guess).

So I actually asked Jojo to draw Spider-Woman, the Marvel character who has nothing to do with Spider-Man and everything to do with having the most complicated back story ever (for a while she was a super evolved spider, and she spent time as quadruple agent between Hydra, SHIELD and the Avengers).

What Jojo drew looks much more like Spider-Girl, the alternate reality daughter of Peter Parker. I like how she just gave her the standard outfit she thinks all female heroes wear, just with blue webs where everyone else has skin.

Plus, she’s red, white and blue, just in time for the Fourth of July.

So that’s fun.

Today Jojo draws… um…. Horse Thor?

Here’s what happened,

Me: “Jojo, you should draw Beta Ray Bill.”

Jojo: “I don’t know those words.”

Me: “He like an alien horse man who gets Thor’s hammer, so he’s basically alien horse Thor.”

Jojo: (Nonverbal grunt signifying that she’ll do it but she still doesn’t know what I’m talking about)

For some reason I thought it was obvious that “Alien Horse Thor” meant a sort of horse minotaur. I probably should have expected a centaur, but I could not have expected what she did. This is really something, it’s kinda reverse Beta Ray Bill, since he’s fairly human except for his face. She even added a My Little Pony-style hammer cutie mark.

Jojo’s always thought the circles on Thor’s costume look like nipples and I said that since this is Horse Thor, maybe they are nipples. Jojo quickly pointed out that’s not where a Horse’s nipples would be.

Oh sure, so NOW she cares about correct anatomy.
